Video Games: A-Z

I have been inspired by a recent(ish) podcast episode I listened to where the hosts a favorite video game for each letter of the alphabet. It was a fun listen and I got a few good recs out of it, and it got me thinking about some of my own favorite video games, so I thought I’d give it a shot. I’m not as big of a gamer as they are, so I’m not sure if I’ll end up with a game for each letter, but we’ll see how it goes!

A: B:

C: The Curse of Monkey Island Third in the series, but the one I remember best. Monkey Island is, of course, an absolute classic adventure game series, and I spent many hours playing these games with my older brother. I’m not sure if this is the first one we actually beat or just the first one I remember beating, but we have never been huge completionists so probably the former. Though he wasn’t involved in this particular title, Tim Schafer worked on the first two.

D:

E: (Clair Obscur:) Expedition 33 Currently playing and enjoying it. Not sure how I feel about putting it here for “E”, but no one seems to call it by its full name, so maybe it’s fine.

F:

G: Grim Fandango A Tim Schafer production from top to bottom. Stylistic, funny, and weird. I loved this game as a kid and I should really make time to play through it again since they rereleased it.

H: Heroes of Might and Magic 3 I: The Incredible Machine J: Joust K: L: Lost Secret of the Rainforest M: Master of Magic N: O: P: Planescape Torment Q: R: Rimworld S: Sonic Spinball T: U: V: W:
