Recommended ADHD Resources
I’ve had a few people ask me for ADHD resource recommendations in the past. Over time that’s solidified into the list below.
Books
You Mean I’m Not Lazy, Stupid or Crazy?! (link)
If the title of this book resonates with you, you’ll probably feel seen while reading it.
Driven to Distraction (link)
Written in a more clinical/formal style than “You Mean I’m Not…”, which may be more appealing depending on your preferences. Written by Dr. Hallowell, one of the most prolific and well respected authorities on ADHD.
How to Keep House While Drowning (link)
If keeping up with chores around the house is one of the ways that you’re struggling, this book may be for you. Lots in here about being gentle with yourself and managing the emotional side of household cleaning.
ADD-Friendly Ways to Organize Your Life: Strategies That Work from an Acclaimed Professional Organizer and a Renowned ADD Clinician (2nd edition) (link)
I like that the solutions in this book are organized based on the level of support you need, starting with things you can do yourself, with untrained assistance, trained assistance, etc.
Podcasts and YT Channels
How to ADHD (link)
YouTube channel and now book from Jessica McCabe. Extremely approachable, fun, and not afraid of talking about the hard parts of having ADHD.
