Wrapping Up 2024
Well, folks, we did it, we made through 2024!
This past year has been a real mixed bag for me. Professional instability, political losses, a Covid pandemic that so many are still refusing to reckon with. And, also: my health is better than it has been in a long time, I started working with an ADHD coach, I was able to start carving out time for personal creativity, and I am surrounded by a loving community of family and friends. It’s not something I’m used to, but I’m walking into this new year feeling a bit of excitement!
With that in mind, here are a couple of “year in review”-type wrap-ups I got from apps and websites I use that I enjoyed and want to share.
- BookWyrm: Didn’t quite hit my reading goal this year, so if I set one for 2025 I’ll be taking that into consideration. I’m happy with the books I read and the time I spent on the site, though, which is the main thing by far.
- iNaturalist: I had a lot of fun with iNaturalist this year! In addition to adding observations of my own, I started getting into some of the more community-focused features. I dabbled in IDing other folks’ observations and asked questions when more knowledgeable users corrected my IDs.
